This fine used Rhodesia 1966 2/6d Tiger Fish shows the vermilion — supplying the fish’s scales, eye, gill and fins — entirely omitted, leaving a striking ghost of the celebrated design. All three known copies were soaked from first day covers before the error was noticed, and this is the first example we have had the privilege of handling. An extraordinary rarity for the specialist of British Africa.
