This 1840 1d Black from Plate VIII, lettered N-L, is a superb used example with four large margins. It is cancelled by a neat, crisp Maltese Cross struck in brown, a distinctly uncommon and sought-after colour of the obliterator. A David Brandon Certificate accompanies this rare stamp.
