This marginal horizontal strip of five of the 1966 5c Yellow-Tailed Thornbill carries a major error on the first stamp, the brown of the plumage entirely omitted, while the adjoining stamp shows a striking partial omission, capturing the very transition of the flaw across the sheet. It survives Post Office fresh and unmounted mint, and is accompanied by a BPA Certificate. With just twenty-two examples originally found, this transitional multiple is an outstanding and especially desirable rarity.
