A great New Hebrides rarity, one of a mere handful of examples, a companion of which resides in the Royal Philatelic Collection.
This 1908 1d Red, Type I overprint on Fiji, is a vertical pair in which the lower stamp shows the error of the overprint omitted. Superb, fresh and fine mint, lightly hinged and of bright colour, it is accompanied by a BPA Certificate. A great rarity of which no more than twelve copies existed, one of them housed in the Royal Philatelic Collection.
