This 1840 1d Intense Black from Plate 1b, lettered J-I, is an extremely fine used example with four large, well-balanced margins and the scarce inverted watermark. It is centrally struck with a Maltese Cross in red, and comes accompanied by a David Brandon Certificate. Lovely quality throughout.
