This 1840 1d Mulready envelope travelled from London to Wales, cancelled by a near-perfect, centrally struck Maltese Cross in red. It is additionally back-stamped ‘MY 22 1840’, firmly placing it within the opening month of prepaid postage, and remains fresh and lovely in quality throughout.
