This 1840 1d Mulready envelope, Forme 4, A179, was sent from Market Harborough to London, neatly cancelled by a Maltese Cross in scarlet-vermilion with the Market Harborough circular date stamp struck alongside in the same colour. The harmony of the coloured strikes makes for a most pretty example.
