This 1840 1d Mulready letter sheet, forme A22, was sent from Bristol to Tetbury and cancelled by a superb Maltese Cross in black. It is back-stamped ‘BRISTOL JA 18 1842’, an attractive and well-preserved example of this celebrated first issue.
