This 1840 1d Mulready letter sheet saw local London usage to Putney, cancelled with an experimental black Maltese Cross and struck alongside with a framed ‘T.P. Home Town’ hand-stamp. Back-stamped ‘OC 15 1840’ in red, it is an attractive early item of considerable postal-historical interest.
