This 1840 2d Mulready envelope travelled from London to Rathfriland in Ireland and is offered superb used, cancelled by a crisp Maltese Cross in red with an additional ‘T.P. Edgware Rd.’ marking struck alongside. Numerous back-stamps record its passage through the mails. Rare and attractive thus, it is a most desirable example for the collector of Mulready entires.
