This 1866 6d Embossed Essay (Die W.W.4) is a very fine and fresh four-margined example, printed in purple on white vertically laid paper and without SPECIMEN overprint. Prepared for the 1867 Paris Exhibition, it is recorded as one of just two known, making it a prize for the advanced student of the embossed issues. A BPA Certificate accompanies. Spec. EP4 var.
