This 1941 1d Pale Scarlet is a horizontal pair imperforate on three sides, perforated only at the foot. A Post Office fresh unmounted mint example of a huge King George VI rarity, it is one of just five pairs discovered, all emanating from a single sheet (Row Three) that also yielded ten fully imperforate pairs from Rows One and Two, rendering this error twice as rare as the fully imperforate pair.
