SG476b

£975.00

1 in stock

A scarce wartime first day cover from a notably difficult King George VI high-value issue.

This 1942 2/6d Yellow-Green Arms first day cover is very fine, neatly tied to a clean censored and registered envelope by a Grimsby, Lincolnshire c.d.s. dated the first day of issue (9 March 1942). Addressed to Columbia, Louisiana in the USA, it survives as a lovely example of a genuinely difficult cover from the wartime period.
