Crimson Red & Gold bears the Type I overprint and remains extremely fresh and fine, a stamp of the greatest importance of which only forty-eight copies were issued, at least half of them subsequently used. It carries the ‘D. Field’ hand-stamp on the reverse and is accompanied by a Holcombe Certificate, standing among the truly celebrated rarities of the British Empire.
