A very rare missing-gold error from the earliest Jersey definitives, one of only about five known.
This Jersey 1971 2½p Arms & Royal Mace, from a booklet pane, shows the gold of the mace entirely omitted. A Post Office fresh unmounted mint example of a very rare error, of which only some five copies are believed to have been discovered.
