A museum-quality colour-omission rarity of the highest order from modern British Africa.
This post office fresh, unmounted mint full lower sheet-marginal block of twenty, arranged as two horizontal strips of ten, commemorates the 1960 3d Opening of the Kariba Hydro-Electric Scheme and displays sheet number 37822. An extraordinary interruption to the printing has left the red-orange colour totally omitted from the final vertical row of two stamps, with approximately 40% missing from the adjoining pair. A spectacular exhibition piece of the greatest significance to the specialist of British Africa.
