This 1840 1d Intense Black from Plate II, lettered I-D, is an extremely fine used large-margined example distinguished by the ‘Without Ray Flaw’ characteristic. It is cancelled with an attractive Maltese Cross in orange, an uncommon colour of the obliterator, and is accompanied by a David Brandon Certificate. Scarce.
