A remarkable Australian strip that lays both die states side by side, with the gold dramatically omitted.
This vertical strip of four of the 1976 Australia Nationhood 18c shows the upper stamp (Die I) with the gold shield and star fully omitted, while the three adjoining Die II stamps show the gold mostly omitted. The result is a wonderful transitional piece that clearly illustrates both varieties in a single, coherent multiple. It remains Post Office fresh unmounted mint throughout.
