A spectacular colour-shift error from Hong Kong, of which only ten strips are known from a single sheet.
This 1992 Chinese Opera $1.80 vertical strip of five displays a pronounced upward shift of the grey printing, such that the lowermost stamp is left with its grey — the face value and inscription — entirely omitted, the ‘missing’ inscription reappearing in the upper sheet margin. Post office fresh and unmounted mint, it ranks as a genuine rarity, with just ten such strips recorded from the one sheet.
